Bühler Automatic Laboratory Mill MLU-202
Product Overview
The Buhler Automatic Laboratory Mill allows the production of flour samples by milling small quantities of wheat. The characteristics of the resulting samples are consistent with those produced in commercial flour mills. Before purchasing wheat, the Automatic Laboratory Mill enables users to evaluate wheat quality by milling and analyzing flour samples - providing an easy and reliable method for wheat quality testing. This laboratory mill is also ideal for agricultural research laboratories involved in grain breeding and testing. It is perfectly suited for laboratory environments, as it quickly provides reliable and consistent information on yield, ash content, color, maltose levels, gluten quantity and quality, baking performance, and responses to chemical treatments.
In addition to the standard version, a durum wheat version of the laboratory mill is available. This model is designed to produce semolina and coarse flour from durum wheat, which is used for pasta production. While its exterior is identical to the standard MLU-202, it is equipped with corrugated rolls instead of smooth reduction rolls and uses specialized sieves and sieve openings. Each model is dedicated to a specific wheat type: the standard laboratory mill is intended for soft wheat, while the durum wheat version is designed for hard wheat.
Features
- Produces flour samples from small quantities of wheat
- Enables pre-purchase wheat quality evaluation
- Supports quality testing for grain breeding and research laboratories
